A tutti \u00e8 capitato almeno una volta di trovare parole incomprensibili in qualche lingua esotica o magari, per mancanza di voglia, di ritenere incomprensibili termini inglesi e di aver buttato in pasto a Google Traduttore la frase in questione. Per i pi\u00f9 giovani, che non ricordano quali erano i <strong>risultati delle traduzioni<\/strong> fino a pochi anni fa, posso solo dire che \u00e8 notevolmente migliorato (per farvi quattro risate consiglio un arcinoto sito simil-enciclopedico).<\/p>\n<h2>La storia di Google Translate<\/h2>\n<p>Negli anni il colosso di Mountain View ha notevolmente migliorato il suo traduttore, aggiungendo via via sempre pi\u00f9 lingue (anche morte o quasi, fino ad arrivare a 300 idiomi compresi i dialetti) e diffondendo la versione mobile per Android, iOs, Windows Phone e BlackBerry. Google ha visto toccare quota 200 milioni di traduzioni nel 2012. BigG per\u00f2 \u00e8 da anni al lavoro per migliorare la <strong>qualit\u00e0 della traduzione<\/strong>, che ovviamente non pu\u00f2 basarsi su tutte le regole grammaticali di ogni singola lingua disponibile per la traduzione, ma che si basa su matematica e statistica: Translate infatti pu\u00f2 fare affidamento sui documenti pubblici analizzati da Google (ONU, Unione Europea e cos\u00ec via&#8230;) o ancora sui milioni di libri resi disponibili in Google Books per <strong>studiarne le frasi pi\u00f9 utilizzate<\/strong>, senza capirne effettivamente il significato, e riutilizzarle durante la traduzione.<\/p>\n<p>In Google per\u00f2 non si lavora solo sulle regole di traduzione. Lo sapevate ad esempio che \u00e8 possibile <strong>tradurre appunti scritti a mano<\/strong>? Potrebbe sembrare una funzione inutile, ma provate voi a trovare sulla tastiera quelle lettere incomprensibili di alcuni alfabeti diverso dal nostro!<\/p>\n<h2>Il futuro di Google Translate<\/h2>\n<p>Ad ogni modo, tutte le migliorie che BigG ci presenta nel suo traduttore vanno in una precisa direzione, ben espressa da\u00a0Franz Josef Och, collaboratore di Google, il cui obiettivo \u00e8 creare un <strong>dispositivo portatile<\/strong> di dimensioni minuscole (diciamo che un auricolare basterebbe?) che consenta una <strong>traduzione istantanea<\/strong> di ci\u00f2 che il nostro interlocutore ci sta dicendo.<\/p>\n<p>Insomma, Google vuole davvero <strong>abbattere le barriere linguistiche<\/strong>. Vediamo quanto ci vorr\u00e0 (siamo certi sia solo questione di tempo) perch\u00e9 a Mountain View raggiungano l&#8217;obiettivo.<\/p>\n<p><em>P.s.
