Con questa combinazione si avvia il task manager e si pu\u00f2 terminare un programma, visualizzare i processi e analizzare le prestazioni del pc, ma usare tre dita in contemporanea pu\u00f2 diventare scomodo.<\/p>\n<p>Il presidente e fondatore di Microsoft <strong>Bill Gates<\/strong> ha svelato, in un&#8217;intervista con il finanziere David Rubinstein, quanto la colpa di questo celebre &#8220;difetto&#8221; sia\u00a0stata\u00a0solamente di un tizio dell&#8217;IBM:.<\/p>\n<p><cite>&#8220;Volevamo un unico pulsante, ma il tizio delle tastiere IBM non volle accontentarci. Cos\u00ec scegliemmo, sbagliando, la formula Ctrl+Alt+Canc.&#8221;<\/cite><\/p>\n<p>Ed \u00e8 cos\u00ec che una raccolta fondi all&#8217;universit\u00e0 di Havard ha fatto da cornice ad un&#8217;affermazione curiosa, ma forse un pochino prevedibile. Tuttavia Gates non si riferisce al momento in cui necessitiamo del <strong>task manager<\/strong>, ma al fatto che tale combinazione di tasti serve anche per\u00a0l&#8217;<strong>accesso a Windows NT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Ma chi sarebbe il tizio dell&#8217;IBM responsabile? Ebbene, si tratta del designer David Bradley che vanta numerosi fan tra i programmatori di tutto il mondo. Egli ammette di non aver ideato <strong>Ctrl+Alt+Canc<\/strong> per l&#8217;accesso a Windows: questa decisione fu presa in seguito dalla Microsoft. Inoltre, pur rivendicando la &#8220;paternit\u00e0&#8221; della celebre combinazione di tasti, riconosce a Gates il merito di averla resa famosa. E pensare che secondo quest&#8217;ultimo, sarebbe stato molto meglio un unico tasto apposito, se solo Bradley avesse voluto accontentare la sua richiesta!<\/p>\n<p>Intanto alla Microsoft, in questi giorni, si respira un&#8217;aria diversa forse portatrice di storici cambiamenti: tre dei principali investitori vorrebbero che Bill Gates lasciasse la presidenza, poich\u00e9 potrebbe influenzare la decisione per trovare il successore del dimissionario CEO Steve Ballmer.
