{"id":4883,"date":"2010-10-14T17:22:01","date_gmt":"2010-10-14T17:22:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.artera.net\/it\/blog\/?p=4883"},"modified":"2023-02-27T14:54:54","modified_gmt":"2023-02-27T14:54:54","slug":"apple-ping-e-social-network-fatti-in-casa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.artera.net\/it\/marketing\/apple-ping-e-social-network-fatti-in-casa\/","title":{"rendered":"Apple, Ping e social network fatti in casa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-4902\" title=\"Apple_-_iTunes_-_Ping__Social_Network_for_Music-20100902-120335\" src=\"https:\/\/www.artera.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/Apple_-_iTunes_-_Ping__Social_Network_for_Music-20100902-120335.jpg\" alt=\"Apple_-_iTunes_-_Ping__Social_Network_for_Music-20100902-120335\" width=\"150\" height=\"86\" style=\"margin-right: 5px;\"\/>In tema di grandi\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.artera.net\/it\/blog\/web\/google-wave-la-storia-di-un-grande-fallimento\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">fallimenti<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Non posso che prendere atto, a distanza di un mese e mezzo, che l&#8217;upgrade di <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/itunes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iTunes<\/a> alla versione 10 passer\u00e0 alla storia pi\u00f9 per il controverso <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/images?client=safari&amp;rls=en&amp;q=itunes+10+icon&amp;oe=UTF-8&amp;um=1&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;source=og&amp;sa=N&amp;hl=en&amp;tab=wi&amp;biw=1280&amp;bih=664\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">cambio di icona<\/a>, particolarmente contestato, piuttosto che per il lancio di <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/itunes\/ping\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ping<\/a>, un social network stile last.fm che \u00e8<strong> finito nell&#8217;oblio<\/strong> dopo non pi\u00f9 di un paio di giorni.<\/p>\n<p>Da una parte, la mossa aveva indubbiamente un suo appeal. iTunes portava in dote a Ping (non un nome particolarmente originale per una societ\u00e0 nota per l&#8217;enorme numero di brevetti registrati, anche a semplice scopo cautelativo) qualcosa come<strong> 160 milioni di utenti<\/strong>, con una bella libreria musicale gi\u00e0 pronta. Peccato che questa non abbia trovato posto in questa community forzatamente eterodiretta che avrebbe dovuto piuttosto attirare utenti nello store online.<\/p>\n<p>Ci sono numerosi altri\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">motivi<\/a> di questo sensazionale fallimento, non ultimo uno &#8220;scazzo&#8221; con Facebook a proposito delle API, da parte di un player che in altri ambiti (hardware, software, design) sembra non sbagliare un colpo.<\/p>\n<p>E per\u00f2, in puro stile Apple, \u00e8 stata completamente inibita la possibilit\u00e0, cruciale per il successo di tanti social network (a partire da Twitter, per continuare con Facebook che ne ha seguito le orme, ma gli esempi abbondano proprio anche in ambito musica) di creare un ponte e spostare traffico fra siti web e blog e la community attraverso i\u00a0<strong>social buttons<\/strong>. Questo perch\u00e8, come qualcuno ha scritto:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Social is to Apple what design is to Microsoft<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Il guaio \u00e8 che se ce l&#8217;avessero descritto prima, avremmo potuto spiegarlo pure noi al product manager che quella roba l\u00ec, fatta cos\u00ec, non avrebbe potuto funzionare (e cosa invece sarebbe servito). Il super guaio infine, a dirla tutta, \u00e8 che secondo me <strong>qualcuno in casa lo aveva pure capito<\/strong>. Ma guai a disturbare il manovratore quando tenete famiglia.<\/p>\n<p>In conclusione Ping pu\u00f2 considerarsi a pieno titolo il <a href=\"http:\/\/theappleblog.com\/2010\/09\/09\/is-ping-apples-google-wave\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Google Wave di Apple<\/a>. Presupposti e prodotti completamente diversi, entrambi naufragati perch\u00e8 la gente non ne sentiva proprio il bisogno. Leggi: non ha capito che farsene. In primis perch\u00e8 troppo &#8220;chiusi&#8221;: irrealisticamente pretendevano di <strong>lasciare il web fuori<\/strong> dalla porta.
