\nCon un post sul blog ufficiale<\/a> di Magento, \u00e8 stata annunciata l’acquisizione da parte di eBay del pi\u00f9 popolare software Open Source per la realizzazione di siti di ecommerce. Salutata come “la notizia pi\u00f9 emozionante” della storia di Magento, questa importante acquisizione apre sicuramente degli scenari interessanti.<\/p>\n

L’acquisizione di Magento rientra infatti in un piano pi\u00f9 ampio chiamato X.Commerce che punta alla realizzazione di una nuova piattaforma open per lo sviluppo di ecommerce. Il codice di Magento diverr\u00e0 il cuore di questo nuovo progetto<\/strong> gi\u00e0 intrapreso da eBay e PayPal.<\/p>\n

Nel breve periodo verr\u00e0 garantito il “business as usual<\/em>“: gli sviluppatori continueranno a lavorare sulle prossime versioni di Magento e della piattaforma Magento Go parallelamente a quella che sar\u00e0 la novit\u00e0 del prossimo futuro X.Commerce.<\/p>\n

La piattaform X.Commerce<\/h3>\n

La strategia di eBay non \u00e8 un’invenzione dell’ultima ora: l’operazione di acquisizione, che si perfezioner\u00e0 nei prossimi mesi, \u00e8 cominciata gi\u00e0 nel 2010 quando il popolare sito di aste online si era garantita il 49% delle quote di Magento. Nell’ottica di sviluppare una propria soluzione per l’ecommerce eBay aveva gi\u00e0 acquisito un’altra grande azienda,\u00a0GSI Commerce, esperta nel settore ecommerce e nell’online marketing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Lo scopo di eBay con X.Commerce \u00e8 quello di fornire una piattaforma integrata che permetta agli sviluppatori di avere un set completo di strumenti per l’ecommerce \u00a0e non solo un “semplice”<\/em> software per gestire un carrello online. Uno degli obiettivo del nuovo sistema sar\u00e0 inoltre quello di ridurre se non di eliminare le barriere fra commercio online ed offline. Vedremo quale sar\u00e0 la strada che decideranno di percorrere…<\/p>\n
